Spring Quick Start Paddling
Age divisions: U10-U18
The Spring Quick Start Paddling Program is great for athletes ready to return to the water as well as beginner paddlers wanting to try a new sport! This program is designed to provide paddlers with a fun, social experience that grows their passion for paddling while teaching the fundamental skills of canoeing and kayaking. The Spring Quick Start Program is part of our Sprint Competitive programming and includes opportunities for regattas.

The Spring Quick Start Paddling Program will run three times a week from May 13-June 26 on:
Tuesdays from 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Thursdays from 4:30-6:00 p.m.
Sundays from 1:30-3:00 p.m.
Important dates:
Sessions will not be held on May 18th or June 15th.
There will be a session on Saturday May 10 and Saturday June 14.

Program cost: $230
A $100 non refundable payment is required at the time of registration. Full payment is due April 30. Admin fees for registration payments made by credit card are now 2.4%.
Please note: Paddlers with outstanding feeds at the start of the program may be removed until fees are paid in full.

Clothing: Please dress in layers and dress appropriate for the weather.
Personal Floatation Devices (PFD): All paddlers of any age MUST have a PFD to paddle at Orenda Canoe Club. Please see our Safe Sport page for details.
Singlet: Paddlers are required to wear a singlet to participate in regattas. Information on where to purchase a singlet will be sent out before racing season begins. -
Local regattas are part of this program. For U12-U18 divisions, there will be an opportunity to attend a regatta in June (Date TBD). You can find more details about regatta schedules at ADCKC.CA.
